Come 2026 pet portrait commissions are changing, firstly I won’t be doing as many as I have in the past so I have more time to focus on my own artwork and secondly how I book them in will change.
Since starting my business I have always taken on a large quantity of pet portraits and worked on a deposit basis but over the past few years it’s been really difficult to work this way as a large percentage of customers book their portraits but when it comes to completion and playing the final balance a few months on they find they don’t have the funds, everyone pays eventually but I have found running my business so difficult when I don’t know when i’ll be paid.
So from 2026 I won’t be booking portraits months in advance, instead I will open up a few spaces every month and it will be payment in full on time of booking. You will then receive your portrait within 1-2 weeks of booking. This may not suit everyone but it’s how I need to change my business due to how things have changed in the current finacal climate.

**If you would like more than one pet on the same portrait this can be added to size A4 and A3 and comes with an additional cost of £10 extra per pet**
All portraits are created using your photographs, these can be altered using a few photos if you don’t have one that’s perfect as it is. multiple pets can be added from separate photos.
